Blessing of the Animals

September 27, 2025, our congregation hosts a service of

All kinds of animals (and their human families) are invited.

The service honors the feast of St. Francis of Assisi known as a lover of God's creation, and there are many stories recounting the special rapport the gentle Francis enjoyed with various animals.

At Grace we honor the Creator and support the lovers of animals in our community by raising funds for the Sandersville Animal Shelter.

We do this in two ways: through our ongoing Pennies for Paws (aka Cash for Cats and Dogs) collections at several local businesses, and as a part of the Blessing of the Animals event.

What to Expect

* All animals must be leashed or caged *

* Treats and Water for Dogs and Cats *

* Free pet cleanup bags for use by owner *

* A St. Francis tag for a pet collar *

* A complimentary photo of (you and) your pet *
